Trees Planted

Our Commitment to Sustainability

Anioka Green Project is dedicated to environmentally friendly and sustainable initiatives, with a mission to combat environmental degradation and contribute to climate change mitigation. Established in May 2024, our flagship project involves the cultivation of eucalyptus trees, chosen for their ecological, economic, and social benefits.

Since inception, we have planted approximately 11 acres of eucalyptus, with each acre hosting 500 trees strategically spaced for optimal growth. Our goal is to grow high-value eucalyptus trees to a maturity of 10 to 15 years, focusing on providing timber and electricity poles.

Operating in the border districts of Bukedea and Pallisa in Uganda, Anioka Green Project is rooted in community collaboration. Our membership consists of 40 individuals, predominantly women and youth, who actively contribute to the project’s development. We also generate employment opportunities for casual laborers, fostering social and economic growth.

Despite our progress, we face financial challenges that limit our ability to scale. We aim to plant 100 acres by 2034, expanding by 5–10 acres annually. Financial support is vital to achieving this vision, allowing us to acquire land, purchase equipment, and establish a mother garden for long-term sustainability.

Our Impact:

  • Environmental Conservation: Mitigating climate risks and preserving natural resources.
  • Community Development: Creating employment and fostering social empowerment.
  • Sustainable Alternatives: Providing renewable resources such as timber, electricity poles, and essential oils.
